Hollywood’s most visionary costume designers took center stage at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre of Los Angeles as JJLA produced the 27th Costume Designers Guild Awards on February 6, 2025. With upwards of 400 guests in attendance and coverage from Deadline, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter, the evening honored the icons who define the sartorial aesthetic of film and television.

JJLA elevated the Guild’s annual ceremony into a visually choreographed experience worthy of Hollywood’s design elite. A towering LED screen flanked by two side displays framed the stage, bathing the historic venue in color, texture, and motion. Custom graphics and video packages celebrated nominees and winners with the same attention to detail that distinguishes their work on screen.

A-list talent filled the room, including Janelle Monáe, Colman Domingo, Zoe Saldana, Kathryn Hahn, John Waters, Mindy Kaling, Quinta Brunson, Kate Beckinsale, and Tina Knowles, who presented awards and joined in celebrating the craft. The combination of glamour and intimacy gave the evening an energy that felt both exclusive and authentic.

Despite the disruptions caused by the Los Angeles wildfires, JJLA worked closely with the Guild to adapt quickly and protect the guest experience. Strategic cost adjustments, last-minute seating pivots, and the addition of donation links and auction elements for fire relief turned challenge into purpose, strengthening the sense of unity in the room.

The result was a night the client described as “beautiful,” a seamless production that honored the artistry of costume design while reinforcing JJLA’s reputation for creativity, precision, and grace under pressure.
