Utilizing the iconic backdrop of the infamous Capitol Records building on Vine, Capitol360, hosted its 2nd Capitol Royale Hackathon event. This 2-day Hackfest brought together software developers, acclaimed producers, songwriters, and influencers in a challenge to incubate new waves of music-related products, services, and content that re-imagine music consumption and discovery.
The convention opened with world-renowned technology gurus and mobile app designers who dished words of wisdom and presented new innovations to attendees. Sponsors included Verizon, Twitch, and Spotify among many other companies who are leaders at the intersection of music and tech. Teams of attendees then brainstormed ideas and worked overnight to develop their ideas in the realms of music-related technology, services, and content before presenting their completed concepts to a panel of renowned judges 24 hours later.
It wouldn’t have been a JJLA event without some cutting edge live entertainment and design elements. Musical artists Tycho, James Davis, and 3LAU closed out the weekend-long event. Dramatic lighting and a futuristic stage design captured guests’ attention and completed the space.
