SOMETHING’S OUT THERE! To unleash the ferocity of Dangerous Animals ahead of the film’s release, JJLA partnered with AV Squad to produce two high-impact promotional stunts, one on Venice Beach in LA and one in Miami, turning both coastlines into unexpected scenes of shark-infested chaos.
On Venice Beach, JJLA designed and fabricated a full-scale shoreline installation featuring shredded surfboards, scattered props, blood-spattered debris, and branded caution zones that hinted at unseen danger beneath the waves. Beachgoers encountered the aftermath of an imagined attack, complete with photo-ready, bite-marked surfboards and a bold call to action: GET CHUMMY WITH DANGEROUS ANIMALS.
High above the sand, JJLA coordinated a dramatic aerial banner flyover, slicing across the big, blue sky with a warning message and directing fans to the film’s promotional site. The stunt created an instant visual link between the carnage on the beach and the alert in the air, drawing crowds and cameras from all directions.
In Miami, JJLA expanded this worldbuilding with an offshore floating billboard boat, styled to resemble a corroded dive platform littered with unsettling, story-driven details.
Both activations delivered bold visual storytelling designed to capture attention from far away and reward closer inspection on-site. JJLA secured tight permitting, managed local vendors, produced all scenic elements, and coordinated on-the-ground crews in two cities with very little margin for error.
The result was a pair of unforgettable coastal spectacles that amplified the film’s marketing reach and reinforced JJLA’s reputation for fearless creativity, precise execution, and stunt-forward innovation.
